This course provides an understanding of the basic concepts and theories in political science. It focuses on the fundamental theories such as Systems Analysis, Pluralism, Polyarchy, Corporativism, Consensus Democracy, theories of Democratic Transition and Hybrid Regimes etc.
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the core of the given theories and their application to practice. Students should be able to understand real political processes in the context of the theoretical framework and to discuss current issues of international politics.
