Main purpose: To strengthen the European Social Work education by offering the students a blended-learning-based course on SW in international context and to conduct the course in internationally organized context.
Aim: Establish an international context of joint learning of cross border/ international/ global SW issues for the students and train the teachers to use blended methods, i.e. ICT-supported in combination with face-to-face interactive forms of teaching and learning.
Competences: Knowledge of epistemology of SW in international context, of multicultralism, participation, human rights, citizenship etc., of contemporary social problems (powerty, immigration, unemployment, social exclusion etc.) related to the international context of SW science and profession. Research methods, work models and skills of using the above mentioned knowledge in establishing and maintaining constructive, collaborative, empowering communication in SW projects related to the course. Use of blended learning - ICT forms of learning and of project group work - in international context. Ground ethos, values and ethical sensibility in addressing and collaborating with the target population groups with social problems related to the international perspective. Critical reflection of the concepts, methods and skills of one's research and direct SW practice in international context.

oaccumulation of recorded lectures as a growing database, internet access to the database
otutorship conducted by different ICT options and live meetings if needed
olive intensive seminar at the end of the course

oSW in cross border/international/global context: ethos, guiding values, such as human rights, participation, multiculturalism, citizenship etc.
oepistemology of global agenda of SW and microdynamics of communication (of creating & maintaining relationship) between the participants in SW collaborative projects in multicultural/international/global context
ocourse related topics, such as immigrants and refugees, economic crisis, powerty, human trafficking etc.
ostudents projects' topics, chosen on the basis of their course related interest: course related comparative studies (theoretical or empirical research-based comparisons)

International dimension of the course secured by:
English as the common language of participants' communication (online pre-recorded lectures and live lectures & discussions organized by the teachers; between the students, teachers and students in different other learning contexts)
project groups consisting of approx. 3 to 4 students from different partner countries
work of project groups conducted both through the ICT and live at the final 3-day intensive seminar
assessment: conducted in accordance with each partner faculty/university assessment system
