? Explore common themes of diversity with students from other universities and countries. ? Establish new connections and grounds for solidarity. ? Examine a new context for social work in a different country within the EU. ? Develop intercultural knowledge, values, and skills. Students will have an opportunity to interact with each other online and then in Vilnius over 5 days (8.4.24-12.4.24). Students will have the opportunity to discuss ideas of diversity in social work and working with marginalized groups. Students will also visit organizations working with marginalized/diverse groups in Vilnius and enrich their understanding through interactions with each other. Methods and outcomes 1. Online resource on an easily accessible platform available. Students will be required to engage with the material before the first online meeting (self-learning: 60-90 mins) 2. Online meeting/workshop with staff and students of participating universities and exchange over the online content moderated by participating lecturers (3.5 hours) 3. Online meeting prior to the mobility to talk about expectations and plans for the mobility. Opportunity to co-create the plan during the mobility with students (3.5 hours) 4. Mobility at the coordinating university (5 days) 5. Online meeting after the mobility to share experiences and learning gains with others (3.5 hours) Learning Outcomes: ? Participants will demonstrate a deepened knowledge and understanding of the concept of Diversity in Social Work through improved comprehension of theoretical frameworks, historical contexts, and contemporary issues. ? Participants will develop and exhibit increased intercultural skills and competencies, fostering effective communication, collaboration, and relationship-building across diverse cultural and social contexts. ? Participants will demonstrate enhanced critical thinking abilities by analyzing Diversity in Social Work from various perspectives, recognizing the complexities of issues, and articulating well-reasoned arguments and solutions. ? Participants will develop a heightened sensitivity to intersectionality, understanding the interconnected nature of social identities and recognizing the unique challenges faced by individuals at the intersections of multiple social categories. ? Participants will demonstrate an increased commitment to social justice and advocacy, applying their knowledge and skills to promote equitable practices and policies within social work and related fields.
