The aim of this course is to familiarize students with philosophical issues in the English language. Thematically, it presents philosophical conversation as an exchange of ideas about different topics. Topically, it covers many areas of philosophical interest. Possible topics include human virtue and flourishing, whether we have freedom, whether and why we should be moral, what it is for something to be beautiful, and whether there is any general significance or value to human life.
