The subject acquaints students with topics from the area of direct work with a client within helping professions. It focuses on the practical application of knowledge in life and future practice. The subject takes into account the possibilities of working with developmental needs, polarities, interpersonal contents, silence, crying, overwhelming emotions. Included is also a basic procedure for working with the client's story and orientation in approach to an aggressive, manipulative and anxious clients.
The course aims to understand the above-mentioned topics with regard to the cognitive, emotional and body manifestations of the client and to familiarise themselves with the techniques and methods of work. Acquisition of basic procedures of working with clients using case studies and model situations.
